An essential oil is a natural product extracted from a single plant species. Not all plants produce essential oils, and in the plants that do, the essential oil may be found in the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, or fruits.
A thousand-year history of the oils use confirms that their benefits are phenomenal. The area of essential oils application is varied: aroma baths, aroma candles, aroma medallions, compresses, rubbing, inhalations, massage, enrichment of cosmetics with oils and oral usage.
Cold pressed oil is oil obtained by grinding and pressing at low temperatures. This oil is healthier than regular oil because its production does not include high temperatures and chemicals. Cold pressed oils are rich in mono- and polyunsaturated omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which lower total cholesterol. Vitamins A and E contained in the oil are powerful antioxidants and protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals.
