Pine oil is distinguished from other products from pine, such as turpentine, the low-boiling fraction from the distillation of pine resin, and rosin, the thick tar remaining after turpentine is distilled. Chemically, pine oil consists mainly of α-terpineol and other cyclic terpene alcohols.
Tall oil rosin
The tall oil rosin finds use as a component of adhesives, rubbers, and inks, and as an emulsifier. The pitch is used as a binder in cement, an adhesive, and an emulsifier for asphalt.

Ester gum
Ester Gum is a modified natural resin made from rosin that has been esterified by heating with a polyhydric alcohol, such as glycerol. Ester gum contains the glyceryl, methyl, and ethyl esters of rosin acids. It is often used as an ingredient in the production of chewing-gum and ice cream.
Alpha pinene oil
Alpha Pinene is a monoterpene, obtained by the fractionation of gum turpentine oil. This terpene is what gives an evergreen tree its unique, fresh scent. alpha pinene is a transparant dense liquid. It is found in many essential oils as a main component. It is used in production of many perfumes and deodorants.

Gum rosin
Gum Rosin also called colophony, is a solid form of resin obtained from pines. Its most important uses are in the manufacture of; adhesives, paper sizing agents, printing inks, various surface coatings, synthetic rubber, chewing gums and soaps, detergents.
